Did you know that the island of Sri Lanka appears to have been inhabited since at least 34,000 years before the present. Archaeological evidence suggests that agriculture began as early as 15,000 BCE, perhaps reaching the island along with the ancestors of the aboriginal Veddah people.

Monsoon time in Sri Lanka
Did you know that there are four major rainy seasons in Sri Lanka; •North-East monsoon from December to February •South-West monsoon from May to September •First inter-monsoon from March to April •Second inter-monsoon from October to November. Monsoon time is not very convenient and comfortable time to travel, but extremely picturesque and colorful with dark heavy clouds and amazing lights and thunderstorms.
